My beloved car, ‘Kuiper’, finally hit 100,000 miles this month. To celebrate, I made a bronze plaque, inspired by looking to its namesake: the Kuiper Belt, beyond Neptune, which only a few unmanned probes have ever reached.

In 1977, the Voyager missions launched to parts beyond the stars, carrying a mathematical ‘Golden Record’ to find their creators. Now, if aliens ever do reach Earth, they can help fix the coolant leak in my 2012 Ford Focus.
